Privacy Policy

Oreninc Mining Deal Club (“OMDC”) is committed to protecting the privacy and safeguarding the personal information of its members. “Personal information” means information about an identifiable individual and may include contact information, email addresses, telephone numbers, or details such as age, marital status, and financial information including payment card number and expiry date, whether in paper, electronic or other form.

The following sets out OMDC’s policy with respect to the collection, use, disclosure, security and retention of personal information (the “Privacy Policy”). If we change our Privacy Policy, we will post a change notice to this webpage and/or other appropriate places. We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it regularly. If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by email or by means of a notice on our home page.  This Privacy Policy is dated as of October 11, 2017.

 

Collection, Use and Disclosure

OMDC collects data on the devices that access or attempt to access our website. The information we collect, which may include personal information such as your name, email address, telephone number, payment card number and expiry date and physical address, is used to track and send email and text alerts regarding potential private placement opportunities and fact sheets (collectively “Placement Opportunities”), maintain our membership accounts and process membership fees. This information may also be used to identify and prevent fraudulent activity.

We will not use or disclose your personal information for purposes other than those for which it was collected without your explicit consent or as required by law and only a very limited number of OMDC’s employees or other representatives will have access to your personal information.  Except at an aggregate level, we do not share personal information with third parties; however, we may, from time to time, provide limited personal information including your name and contact details with issuers in whom OMDC has secured a private placement allocation for the purpose of verifying that you are in fact a member of OMDC.  In addition, OMDC may use contractors or suppliers to help us provide some of our services. If we need to disclose personal information for them to provide the services, it is with the requirement that the information is kept confidential and is used only for those services.

In certain situations, OMDC may be required to disclose personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including satisfying national security or law enforcement requirements. We reserve the right to disclose your personal information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, investigate fraud, respond to government request, court order, or similar legal process or to protect OMDC and its members from any losses. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our website, of any change in ownership, uses of your personal information, and choices you may have regarding your personal information. Finally, we may divulge your personal information to any other third party with your prior consent to do so.

Security

The security of your personal information is very important to OMDC. Accordingly, we have made arrangements to secure against the unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or destruction of personal information.

OMDC will only communicate with you via email and text messages for the purposes of alerting you about potential Placement Opportunities or in response to questions asked by you.  OMDC will never ask for your username, password or any other personal information in an unsolicited phone call, email or letter. Further, any contact with OMDC in which personal information is exchanged with an employee or representative of OMDC will only be used for the purpose of satisfying your request.

OMDC does not support or tolerate spamming.  If you would like to report an incident of spamming, please contact us and we will investigate and take suitable action.

Social media widgets

Our website includes social media features, such as the Facebook and Twitter buttons. These features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our site, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our site. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it.

Cookies

We use cookies or similar technologies to analyze trends, administer our website, track users’ movements around our website, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. Users can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level, but if you choose to disable cookies, it may limit your use of certain features or functions on our website or service.

Your choices and responsibilities

Periodically we will send you emails and text alerts regarding Placement Opportunities, new features or special offers. In each of these emails and text alerts you will be given the choice to unsubscribe from OMDC’s mailings. To do so, simply follow the directions in the emails or text alerts. By becoming a member of OMDC you are consenting to the sending of such emails and text alerts to you by OMDC.  You may withdraw your consent at any time by simply changing your profile information or by following the instructions on how to “unsubscribe” contained in such emails and text alerts from OMDC.

It is your responsibility to update and maintain accurate contact information in your membership account. You can make changes by visiting your account page and entering corrections. Upon request, we will provide you with the information about whether we hold any of your personal information. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe. Email addresses and telephone numbers that are entered into a member’s personal profile page are the addresses and numbers that will be used for all contact including for sending you Placement Opportunities. OMDC is not responsible for Placement Opportunities sent to an incorrect address or number provided by you.

Data Retention

OMDC will retain your personal information for as long as your membership is active or as otherwise required by law.  We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
